Good local knowledge should be easier to find and compare.
Useful recommendations often live in personal networks. A relative abroad may need help caring for a home, a visitor may be looking for a guide, or a family planning a build may need to compare local services. That knowledge matters, but it can be difficult to find again or assess from a distance.
Explore Zimbabwe is a community-led directory for discovering destinations, businesses and service providers. We want to bring provider information, recorded checks and first-hand experiences together in one place, as a more objective starting point for people making their own decisions. We are not the final authority on who anyone should trust.

Our review process
How we verify business profiles
Providers submit a basic profile against our stated criteria. For a physical-address-based business, this requires a business name, address, phone/WhatsApp number, email and/or website, and company logo; a registration number is optional. A Moderator or Super Admin reviews the application and must approve it before the profile is published. These required details are not independent confirmation of every claim; we show a specific check as verified only when it has been completed and recorded by our team.
The green Verified badge reflects a recorded Explore Zimbabwe approval; it is not a government or industry certification, a blanket endorsement, or a guarantee of service quality. Do not assume that a registration, licence, tax status, physical-site visit, insurance or other check has been completed unless that specific check is shown on the profile.

Your first-hand experience is useful to someone else.
If you have used a business or service provider, share what you experienced. Be specific and fair, and avoid including private information about yourself or anyone else. Reviews require an account and publish immediately unless a safety check or user report flags them for staff review. One person’s experience is helpful context, not a promise that every customer will have the same result.
- Write a review about a provider you have actually used. Describe the service and what another customer may want to know.
- Recommend providers from your own experience by sharing their profile with friends, family or community networks.
- If a provider you trust is not listed, invite them to request a free listing review. Community recommendations do not replace our moderator approval process.
